Finally stumbled onto Neopian Weather, hmm? Well, there are many different places that you can view the weather of. Some of them are odd, and some of them are not. Plus, if you look at a certain type of weather, you can get an avatar!
However, neopets weather is generally done via Celsius(C), but they convert it to Fahrenheit(F) if that is what you use.
Reading Weather
Now, you're probably wondering how you can tell what the weather will be. Well, that is a very simple question, with a simple answer!
- Today's Weather in Roo Island - This will tell you the place that you are looking at, at you can see from the above image, there are only a select few places. Unfortunately, you cannot find any other weather besides those. (Remember, that Roo Island is just an example from the image. It will not be Roo Island when you go :) )
- Today is the 1st Day of Gathering, Y9 - This basically tells you the date that you are viewing. In other words, you are viewing September 1st, Year 9 of neopets. As you check each day, the numbers will change.
- Today's Weather: heavy snow and rain expected - This is what tells you the actual weather, not just an image. It'll give you the expected weather, and the current weather. Usually, this is subject to change throughout the day.
- Average temperature today is 7 degrees C (46 degrees F) - This shows you the average temperature throughout the day. Celsius is the primary, but as you can see, they put Fahrenheit in parenthesis.
- Bottom Image - This is your weather image of the place you are viewing. It will go somewhat with what the weather is, but it is much safer to read the actual weather, and not just look at the image.
Types of Weather
Snowy - Brr! It's very cold out right now, oh my! It's snowing! You won't want to catch a cold out here, so be sure to put on those nice, warm jackets!
Winds - Oh dear! Watch out for those things flying around! It's very windy today, and you don't want to blow away, so grab onto something quick!!
Hot/Humid - *pants* It's very hot. Everything is dried out. Everyone is sweating, and there are barely any places to hide from this heat. Definitely a good day for the use of an air conditioner.
Rainy/Gloomy - *sigh* This is the gloomy weather, it's pouring, and it's very down. Please watch out for getting to drenched, and be sure to grab those umbrellas.
This is the type of weather you need in order to obtain the avatar :)
Sunny - The weather is nice, and there are little clouds in the sky. It's a comfortable temperature, a lovely day to have a picnic!
Space - *radio goes off* Can you hear me from there? The weather out here is insanely cold, though there is really no weather. Just coldness. Uh-oh, I think I'm running out of oxygen!
Small Showers - Oh look, it's beginning to rain. You might want to start heading for the indoors before it starts pouring!

How to Get the Avatar
Now, I know above I barely touched on how you get the avatar, well here is where I'll further explain. In order to get the avatar you have to view a certain kind of weather. When you view it, a little box will pop up saying you've received the avatar.
The weather that you must view is "Gloomy/Rainy". Once you've visited an area that has that specific weather, this is the avatar you will obtain.
