After not participating in last year's Cup, Kreludor have shown that they can match some of the top teams. Not this time, however, as the competition leaders laid a clean sweep upon the Kreludorians.


The first time these two teams played, they drew in Yooyuball, and the Lost Desert won the two mini-games. The Shenkuu vs. Lost Desert matchup proved a lot better for the Shenkuu team second time around, taking out a slight overall win: the teams tied in Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger, but Shenkuu emerged victorious in Make Some Noise.


Yesterday, Roo Island beat Darigan in Yooyuball and Make Some Noise. The two teams, however, slung a roughly equal amount of Slushies. It is interesting to note that the Citadel have drawn against Virtupets and Altador in Slushie Slinger, two lower-ranked teams, but have also tied with some of the higher-ranked teams (namely Shenkuu, Mystery Island, Kreludor, Haunted Woods, the Lost Desert and Roo Island).

Today's Standings:

The Meridellian team had been staying in the Top 4 consistently, until the tail end of Round 1, but now they are sitting at ninth position. Despite this, they are only one of three teams so far to disallow Krawk Island from winning in Yooyuball, forcing a draw with the competition leaders (previously, Krawk Island drew with the Lost Desert, and lost to Roo Island the following day). Krawk Island, however, slung more slushies and made more noise to win the two mini-games.


The Citadel and the Lost Desert, five places apart on the leaderboard, drew with each other in two of the games again. However, this time, it'd be Make Some Noise, and not Slushie Slinger, that the Lost Desert would win, giving them the slight overall victory.


The Mystery Island vs. Maraqua match ended with quite a similar scoreline as before: two draws and a win. It was Mystery Island that edged out a slight win against the Maraquans, with the win coming in Make Some Noise (instead of Yooyuball like last time).


Kreludor outshined the Tyrannians in Yooyuball, taking the overall win. However, the team from Neopia's moon lost in the two mini-games, as Tyrannia continue to show their supremacy in Slushie Slinger.

The first day of Round 2 is over! Let's see what happened yesterday in the very first day of rematches...



These teams all swept their opponents yesterday. Roo Island, Darigan, Krawk Island, Lost Desert, Maraqua, and Shenkuu. That's six of the eight matches! Now that we've got those out of the way, let's go into the matches that did not end in sweeps. (Oh, and Shenkuu swept Haunted Woods. Wow!)


In a fierce rematch, the Mystery Islanders and Kreludorians both fought their hardest to win. As you may recall, the two teams completely drew their previous match in round 1. You can imagine how hard these teams played yesterday - both wanted to win over the other!

Unfortunately for Mystery Island, they lost *insert personal sad face here*. Kreludor won in Yooyuball, which essentially earned them the match victory. However, Mystery Island prevailed in Slushie Slinger (one of their strengths), while pulling out a draw in Make Some Noise.

Now, please excuse me as I take out my rage over this disappointing outcome on a nearby pillow...


Okay, I'm back. Anyway, what was I saying? Oh, right -- the Meridell vs. Tyrannia match. Again, the Tyrannian team shined in Slushie Slinger, managing to draw with Meridell! It seems that the Meridellians weren't so lenient in their playing compared to the Krawk Islanders, who lost to Tyrannia in SS two days ago.

Anyhow, Meridell gained the victory by winning in Yooyuball. Tyrannia, however, lost their voices cheering, earning them the win in Make Some Noise. Meridell rose to 8th place after their win, while Tyrannia remains in 11th.


Oh, yeah -- in case you haven't heard, Shenkuu vs. Haunted Woods turned out amazing. Shenkuu flattened Haunted Woods in every game, causing the Woods to fall 3 places and Shenkuu to rise 2 to 5th place. Amazing, simply amazing. Shenkuu's really pulling things together now!
