We're going to tell you everything you need to know about petpetpets... uhm, starting about what they are is a good idea. :P
What are petpetpets?
A petpetpet is a small insect/bug like creature which were introduced on the same day as the Petpet Protection League, on June 11th, 2003. Apparently some petpetpets were found playing with them. The first two petpetpets to be released which happened to be the Mootix and the Breebly were the first petpetpets ever released. You can attach them to your petpets, and they act somewhat as fleas.

How do you get petpetpets?
Petpets sometimes find them in their mouth and happily bring them to their owners, also known as... YOU! Any of your petpets can catch the petpetpet, and notice that it's not the pet but the petpet that gets the petpetpet. Is the word 'pet' starting to sound wierd to you? I know, it is sounding wierd. Stick with me, I'm honestly trying to make sense... e.e;;
You get petpetpets exactly how it shows above! The only way to get a petpetpet is by random event. Or atleast the only special way. Meaning you can also get it as you get any other items, from your friends, trades, auctions shops, etc.
I can't find petpetpets on the shop wizard and the search bar!!!
Some petpetpets are so rare, or expensive that they do not appear on the shop wizard. You cannot stock item worth more than 100,000 neopoints, and some petpetpets are worth more than that, so the shop wizard won't search them. You won't find petpetpets in the search bar either because they are rarity 99 and above and the search bar only searches itmes rarity 98 and below.
Most petpetpets however are below 100k and you can find them. Petpetpets have a wide variety and can range anywhere from 20k to 600k.
I'm trying to find the right petpetpet, but I don't have info!

* If the name is marked with a star that means that the petpetpet is inactive which means the name is Unconfirmed or completely unknown. So you might not find them very easily, or they just aren't active and are impossible to get. e.e;; Sorry, we do not have information on these petpetpets.
Do petpetpets have names, levels, etc. like petpetpets?
No, petpetpets are fleas, and are supposed to be nuisances to the petpet, so you can't give them names, levels, etc. They're just displayed on your pet's lookup at the bottom where it shows info on your petpet. It will just show the image of the petpetpet next to your petpet on the lookup, with the name of the petpetpet attached. :( Sorry. (Petpet name, petpet age, and the pet name has been withheld for the owner's privacy)
How do I attach my petpetpet to my petpet?
Attaching a petpetpet isn't easy and is the biggest question that people have once they find a petpetpet. Petpetpet attaching isn't very easy.
First, make sure the petpet corresponding to your pet that you want to attach the petpetpet to is active, because the petpetpet will only jump onto the active petpet.
Your petpetpet must be in your inventory, and you must refresh. But in order to stay safe we suggest having about 40-49 other items in your inventory (most preferred to be junk items, or free items, like dung, omelettes, etc.). That way, if you get a visit from the pant devil or the grundo leader, etc. there's only a 1 out of 50 chance that your petpetpet will be stolen or turned to dust.
Talking about your petpetpet being stolen, your petpetpet can also be eaten! Yeah. If you have a skeith or a grarrl there is a really good chance that your petpetpet will be eaten by them. So if you have a skeith or a grarrl it is VERY DANGEROUS and EXTREMELY RISKY, so I don't even suggest trying to attach a petpetpet if you have a grarrl or a skeith.
However the time varies as to how long it takes the petpetpet to attach. Sometimes it takes a few minutes, but there have been reports of it taking over a day! While refreshing do not hold down the F5 key because it might look like an auto-refresher and we don't want to put your account in danger now do we? :)
To keep your account safe you can simply just browse the site and eventually the petpetpet will appear on the petpet and you don't have to refresh at your inventory. That way you can play games, restock, etc.! It's best to do an activity that requires a lot of clicking around. Restocking, auction sniping, wiz sniping, neoboard surfing, anything!
There won't be any random event or sign that your petpetpet has disappeared, so you have to keep checking Quick Ref to see if the petpetpet has turned up yet.
How do I remove my petpetpet from my petpet?
The only way to remove the petpetpet will make your petpetpet disappear for away. You can remove your petpet from your pet, and your petpetpet will disappear FOREVER. Meaning that it WILL NOT appear back in your inventory and YOU CANNOT sell it, trade it, etc. So be sure when you decide to attach your petpetpet to your petpet that you really want it.
Avatars
Petpetpets even have their own avatars and you're probably wondering why the mootix is the most expenive petpetpet. That's because it has it's own avatar, and as you might know - people go a bit crazy over avatars.
You must view Quick Ref while having a mootix attached to your petpet. Mootixes are about 400k more than most petpetpets, and are extremely hard to get hold of.
You must visit the lookup of a pet with a moach attached to ita in order to receive the avatar. The price of the moach doesn't go up because the avatar is clickable. :)
